Stephen S. Brown

Stephen S. Brown is admitted to practice as an attorney in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He worked as law clerk to Hon. Robert B. Foster of the Massachusetts Land Court from 2013 to 2014. He graduated summa cum laude as valedictorian of the class of 2013 of the UMass School of Law. While at UMass School of Law, Stephen S. Brown won the American Corporate Counsel Law Student Ethics Award for his work helping members of the Massachusetts South Coast community through the UMass Immigration Law Clinic. While at law school, Stephen was a senior editor of the UMass Law Review, worked as Professor Irene Scharf’s teacher’s assistant for Torts, and received over ten separate awards and scholarships for academic excellence. Stephen S. Brown received his Masters of Business Administration from UMass Dartmouth, Charlton College of Business, and graduated summa cum laude from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Music. He worked as a Banker for Citizens Bank for seven years. He also worked for Rockland Trust Company. Stephen S. Brown studied Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal and India for seven years, studying for the majority of that time at the Salbari Buddha Mundir of the renowned Yogi, Chatral Rinpoche, in Salbari, West Bengal, India. Stephen graduated from high school in San Jose, Costa Rica, where he toured the country playing guitar for calypso band, Chakra Y Su Calypso Caliente. He is originally from Toronto, Canada, where he worked as a professional musician in his early teens. Stephen speaks Spanish, Tibetan, Nepali, and English.
